Ben looked at Hubbard when he told them this is no game, or ha ha. But Ben wasn't ha ha'ing, he was being serious.
Ben listened to Dr. Logan for a moment then looked at his watch, realizing he has a new member in the team that is waiting on him. Sighing to himself, he lost his appetite for candy or anything really. So he grabbed his bottle of power aid and gulped it down before tossing it into a trash can.
Ben then turned his head to Tang right beside him, asking Logan how do they kill them. Ben then stood up to this. "I just said it before...but apparently Colonel Hubbard wants to take it as a joke. With all due respect, sir, I wasn't fooling around. These things have to eat some how don't they? Look, even the Goa'uld eat, right? They're just like us, if we don't eat as much as we are suppose to, we lose energy. So, thats why I suggest chocolate covered C4...its sweet tasting, almost everything likes chocolate. And we wouldn't be wasting so much ammo and hear General Yu barking at our CO here."
Ben then looked at his watch again and sighed. "If you don't mind, sir. I have a new recruit that I need to break in. I've heard what I had to hear and I'm done here." Ben then nods to Tang, to Bond and to Logan with a smile then headed out leaving the bag on the table, as he really didn't want it now.
: Gate Room :
Ben walked out into the Gate room, holding a Tablet that he had with him in the briefing and pulled up a list of who was being added to his team. Apparently...only one. "Jess Walker." Ben called out.
Ben could see a woman standing up and walking to him. Ben extends his hand out to her. "Sorry to keep you waiting. You want to walk to one of the balconies and get some fresh air? The Briefing was a little too hot in there." Ben asked her, but he headed down the hall to where one will be, expecting her to follow.
When Ben noticed she was right beside him, he asked her another question. "So what brings you to my team, Ms Walker?" Ben asked.

Jess was happy to have met her CO, and found it even better that they were socialising and going to the balcony, she loved balconies.
"So what brings you to my team, Ms Walker?" Ben asked.
"Well sir, I signed up several years ago to just, well get a life, I had an EX but I couldn't deal with him anymore, he was very self centred" Jess replied looking at Captain Wargon.
The doors to the balcony slid open and the Captain held out his arm signalling Jess to go first, "Thank you" Jess said in response.
She continued her story, "I broke up with him, after alot of heartache I signed up and now here I am, I was imediatly posted here and then well, Major Bond was the first person I've met here and now you sir"

Ben sits on the railing near the door and leans his back against the wall with his left foot on the railing and his right on the floor. "Trust me Lieutenant, theres going to be a lot of heart ache here too. Friends...maybe even families of who are here are going to lose one or the other. Its a dangerous mission but we took it because we knew the risks."
Ben sighed and stared out into the horizon for a bit, then finally spoke. "You see, I am getting married to a woman I love very much. But with things happening like this...her being up there..." points up at the sky. "On one of those, Deadalus Class ships, anything could come and just tear them to pieces."
Jess nodded then asked, "What was the meeting about?"
"Some bloody Irascor tearing up the city. They seem to have the ability to infect someone of who they bit...like 28 days later you know. They're like Goa'ulds as well..." smirked. Ben smiled. "Her names Hoshi Chan. She's a fighter pilot on one of the ships up there. Though depending how long she's in, she may have to take several months off from duty, maybe more." he said with a smile.
"So She's pregnant?" Jess asked.
"Oh yeah." chuckles. "Don't see how I couldn't gotten her pregnant from all the times she keeps stealing me into the closet on the ship. As for the wedding, we plan to do it right here, right at the gate. Hopefully it won't come on and whoosh us away." sticks his tongue out and chuckles a bit more.
