"What was that about?" Charity asked Allen after he had returned the phone. The waiters served Charity her Braised Beef & Tortelloni. "Thank you."
"Cam is having some issues at Delta Site," Allen replied. He picked up his fork, and everyone followed suit as it was traditional for the senior officer to begin before any of the juniors do. Allen began with his Chicken Alfredo.
"That's the what, fifth time in this month?" Charity asked, sharing Allen's opinion that Delta Site needed to get its act together. She stabbed her fork into a slice of beef.
"Sixth," Allen replied swallowing. He took a drink of his coke before continuing. "I'm not going to deny the Colonel help, as he does only have two teams thanks to the IOA Budget Cuts, but he can wait until after our meal. It's not like they do anything important anymore; just routine diplomatic check-ins with Starfleet and the Colonial Fleet. They haven't found any useful universes for exploration for three months."
"Yeah, it'll be nice if they finally get something fun for us to do," Charity said drinking some Sprite. "What do you think they'll make us do?"
"Nothing much I assume," Allen replied. "Perhaps some recon at most. But, it's not like we have better things to do; our itinerary for the next month includes a trip to a naquadah mining facility, check-ins with Alpha Site and Gamma Site, and a small backwater planet for a possible Russian base."
"Well, hopefully we uncover something during our trip to Delta Site," Charity said as she took another piece of her meal. "Should I get the Russian and Chinese teams to do those check-ins? After all, they have been complaining about not getting enough off-world missions."
Allen laughed and nodded.
"Sounds good," Allen replied.

"Uh, at ease," Allen said standing up. He returned the salute, and the Admiral's hand fell back to her side and then to at ease. Allen had been notified that the British were going to send an Admiral to take command of the United Nation's 32nd Fleet, but he did not expect the Admiral to show up right now, at Olive Garden. "32nd Fleet huh? Well, since you are here, why not have dinner with us?"
Well standing at ease in front of the three general officers and listening to the talk between the three of them before General Yu asked Billie to join them for dinner and Billie thought about it as she was sure that she would have to get back to get a briefing of all operations that are going on with 32nd Fleet part of.
"Well General I am sure that you would like me make sure that my command is in order as I would be sure that we would have some ships out right now that would need something from command Sir. But I am sure that my yeoman and myself could use something to eat, so we will join your group for dinner Sir. Also I understand that it is custom that for Royal Navy Admiral apon assuming a new command to buy all officers present for dinner some Rum for each officer Sir and will keeping with tradition I would like to buy everyone some Rum from the Royal Navy to multitude of officers from all over the world. So, if you would all me this honor Sir?"

"Hmm...well Admiral, technically we are 'on duty' and can't have drinks," Allen said. Then he grinned slightly. "I'm sure General O'Neill can put us off duty for the night however, since he's the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs, right Jack? We all know how much you love a good drink..."
General O'Neill grinned.
"That I do," he replied. "Alright then, everyone is off duty for the night!"
The US Servicemen and women at the table cheered as they were now able to enjoy the night, without having to worry about so many regulations.
"Well Admiral, it'll be an honor to have you buy us all drinks," Allen said smiling.

As all the SGC personnel at the Olive Garden started cheering, General Chan cut in to the happiness with a problem that he had just noticed.
"Sir, where are we going to get rum from? This is the Olive Garden, after all." Chan commented. "They sell beer and wine, but I don't think they sell rum."
"Crap." General Yu and O'Neill said in unison.
"Well, why don't we ask the waiters that?" O'Neill said, waving over a waiter.
The waiter came over, asking what they wanted.
"Excuse me sir, but do you have any rum at the restaurant?" General Chan asked.
"Well, I know we have beer and wine, but I don't know about rum." The waiter thought for a second. "Actually, a British IOA delegation reserved a spot on Saturday and requested that we get a lot of rum for them, so we do have a lot. You're in luck, sir."
"Ha-ha!" Chan said triumphantly. "There's rum, sirs."
General Yu and O'Neill both laughed heartily.
"Admiral Tyler, buy away." General Chan said.

~Admiral's hungry it seems,~ Allen thought to himself. As they waited to enjoy the rum, Admiral Tyler looked to Allen and asked a question about her command.
"General I would like to know sir how many ships that I will have under my command Sir?"
"Too many 'sir's in the sentence," Allen said after swallowing a bite of his alfredo chicken. "Well, the 32nd Fleet is the main portion of the IOA's Starfleet Charter. While there are other small ships operating outside of the fleet, the majority of Earth's starships are under your command. This totals to 2 Task Forces from Earth, consisting of 3 Task Groups of 5 ships each; 1 Task Force from your homeland of Great Britain, consisting of 2 Task Groups; 1 Task Force from the Russian Federation, consisting of 3 Task Groups; and 1 Task Force from the People's Republic of China, consisting of 2 Task Groups. Independantly, the Koreans, Japanese, French, and Canadians operate 1 Task Group each. The Indians and Pakistanis operate one BC-304 each as well. Now, I'm no math whiz, but I can tell you that's a lot of ships with lots of people. You think you're up for it?"

Billie takes a drink of Rum and looks at the General and begins to talk. "Well General I was in charge of all Carrier Operations for the Royal Navy as we have now been working with 4 different Queen Elizabeth Class Aircraft Carries and all Fleet Air Arm units. I have had about 12,000 Royal Naval Personal under my command at one time, so I think that I will be able to handle all matters to do with them. I am happy to know that I will have such a big command and will have the ability to put some ships with a reserve forces to back them up. Also General I have a message from His Majesty's Admiralty that we are right now working on right now to have a second Royal Navy Task Force ready with in the next year Sir."

"Oh really? That's an impressive record Miss Tyler," Allen said, taking a drink of the rum. He rarely had British rum, most of the time he opted for Chinese wines or hot sake, and occasionally a glass of merlot, champange for celebrations. However, this British rum was exceptional. "Good rum. Now, I should warn you, this appointment is highly political. You should have already read the files, and know that the Chinese have been less than cooperative about the US and British having many ships. The Russians rarely complain, but we have issues with them occasionally as well. Most important of all, you need to appeal to the big wigs in Washington and the IOA if you want more funding that the British Government cannot provide. But, from what I read about you, I think you can do a good job. Now, how's about you pass me that bottle of rum?"

General Chan grabbed a bottle of rum, immediately opening the bottle.
This was the first time in years he had drunk alcohol during a work-related event, and he wasn't about to let that opportunity slip away.
Just then, a horrifying thought hit his mind: if he had drank alcohol, who would drive his car?
Instantly, Chan spied Major Ferrante, who was busily eating his food, not noticing the rum.
"Major, I am ordering you not to drink any alcohol until later." Chan immediately ordered. "I need someone to drive all of us back to base."
"Alcohol? The rum's here? Wait, what?!?" Ferrante said.
"If I drink, I can't drive. Even if I could drive, it'd be terrible PR for the SGC, its XO driving under the influence."
"But sir, can't we beam back to base?" Ferrante asked.
"Major, you know that we can't spend all those taxpayer dollars beaming away just because we're drinking rum, which we're technically not supposed to do." Chan replied. "Beaming takes energy, energy costs money."
"Sir, but why can't you get someone else to drive?" Ferrante protested.
"Everyone already started drinking, so I'm left with no choice." Chan answered.
"But when will I be able to drink?" Ferrante asked.
"You can take two bottles of rum with you and drink it in the parking lot or something. Just don't let anyone see." Chan answered. "I'll owe you a favor. "
"Whatever, sir." Ferrante said glumly.
"Thanks." Chan said, starting to drink the rum directly from the bottle.
The rum's taste immediately hit him like a hammer, as it was stronger than the usual champagne or wine he consumed.
It wasn't as strong as vodka and had a fairly clean taste, but nevertheless, the rum was stronger than the usual alcohol Chan had.
Chan could taste the faint taste of molasses, which he knew that rum was derived from, as he chugged down much of the rum.
Chan finished his desired share, and plopped the bottle down on the table loudly.
"That felt good." He said.
"Chan, I hope you're not drunk." General Yu said, his voice slurred and his face already turning a little red.
"No, sir. Members of my family naturally have a very high threshold for alcohol consumption." Chan started chugging more rum.
"Lovely..." General Yu said, already displaying signs of drunkenness. "I wish my family genes were like that..."
"Sir, I don' t think you should drink anymore." Chan said.
"I agree, Chan..." General Yu said, drifting off. "I think we'll spend the night at the SGC before heading out to Delta."
"Yes, sir. I'll make sure to remember that." Chan said.
"I think this is why those top brass people who made all the rules didn't want people to drink." General O'Neill commented.
"Yeah, I agree."Chan answered, taking another swing from the rum bottle.

As desert was finished, and the rum bottles were dry and empty, it was time to go home. Charity set aside her fork on her plate, after enjoying a nice slice of tiramisu. She then noticed that most of the male officers, with the exception of General Chan and Major Ferrante, had one too many drinks. General Yu was acting a bit...strange, even for General Yu. The same was true for General O'Neill.
"Sir, I think we should go home," Charity said as Allen wobbled a bit.
"Hmm, I think so too. Hey, did you notice the lights? They're all...spinny," Allen said, a bit slurred in his speech. The watress brought over the check. Charity reached into Allen's coat pocket, and pulled out Allen's wallet, wondering what was in there. Opening it up, she found a multi-coloured array of platinum and gold credit cards, but no cash.
~I suppose he doesn't use vending machines often...~ Charity pulled out the card on the top right corner, a Platinum CitiBank card. ~Platinum, very nice...~ The waitress left with Allen's card to process the check, which had come out to be over a thousand dollars. Charity wondered if they could put this on the Air Force's tab and get reimbursed...say it was a meeting. Smiling, she turned her attention to Generals Yu and O'Neill, who were now fighting with their forks. ~Generals are so funny when they're drunk.~
